Heck yeah!!

Hey, hey, hey!!!

Seven pounds and 9.5 inches later...Woohoo!  I lost a newborn midget!  Or is "little people" the more politically correct term?  Do you remember that show?  "The Little People".  That reality show where all those little people were running around , getting married, haveing itty bitty babies?  Too cute!!!

Anyways, I am super excited about my weightloss!  Although I do feel kinda bad for my trainer.  None of the ladies in my focus group are extremely vocal or enthusiastic when we weigh in and she is always asking, "Are you excited?"  "Are you happy?"  Yes, I am extremely happy about the weightloss and inches lost!  And truthfully, it is all because of her!  She motivates me, pushes me when I try to wimp out, and texts me every day to keep me on track! Have you ever tried to work out at the YMCA or another gym and the trainers there make you feel like less than a person because you are overweight? Just the way they look at you.  They don't know what its like to be fat and most of them really don't care. That's where Rhonda is different.  She HAS been there.  She's done that.  And honestly she wants to help you do the same.  She's not only my trainer, she's my friend.  The girls that I work out with are not just acquaintances, they are part of my family - my JOURNEY family.  We all have a common goal.  We push each other.  We celebrate successes with each other, and we lift each other up when one has fallen.  If you are tired of doing the same old thing and getting the same result...if you feel like a failure and want to just give up...if you are ready to REALLY make some changes, but you need someone to push you, come to The Journey Fitness Center in Ringgold.  Tell 'em Amy sent ya!

Thought for the day:

Our greatest weakness lies in giving up.  The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.

And so it begins...

Well... This is it.  My blog to chronicle my journey through weightloss and finding myself.  It only took me 24 hours to come up with the name!  Sheesh!  Every great idea I had for a name got shot down by 6 extremely irritating words - this blog name is not available.  Grrr!!! All these names I thought were unique and original had apparently been thought up by someone else already.  So much for standing out in the herd!  I guess I'm just chewing' cud with the rest of them.  Well, anyway, as I sat there trying to rack my brain after the TWELTH name had been shot down, I realized I was hungry.  I looked over on my desk and there was a HUGE bar of chocolate sitting there...Oh, how I love chocolate.  Any chocolate.  Eww, except for Palmer's chocolate.  That stuff's just nasty unedible!  Do you remember getting that crap as a kid in your Easter basket and being like, "Man, the Easter bunny left me crap candy!"?  I do.  But I digress.  Actually, I digress quite often, you will begin to see.  I'm like that fish on Finding Nemo -Dori.  You know, the one that has the voice of Ellen.  I do LOVE that character!  She totally cracks me up every single time I watch it!!

So, anyways, we've established that I am very fond of chocolate, but now for the other half of the blog name - CARDIO - my new obsession.  I freakin' love it!!  It kicks my butt every single day and I come back beggin' for more!! I can be in a total funk when I walk in, ( just ask my trainer) and 10 minutes in, I'm like the energizer bunny on speed!! Im smiling, cracking jokes, LOTS of jokes, and having a great time!  LOVE it!!

Anyways, the reason I decided to start this blog is to chronicle my journey as I lose weight and find out who I really am.  Plus my trainer says it's good to journal during this time, so I thought this would be a fun way to do that! :). At times, you will probably hear me whine - typically right before Mother Nature comes to destroy my otherwise very cheerful disposition.  So if my big girl panties start to sag a little, just tell me to shut-up!  That's what SOME people do, anyways! ;) ( luv ya, girl!)

I'm actually really excited tonight.  I have weigh-in tomorrow AND I get my measurements done!  I really hope I lost more than I did last month.  Three and a half inches lost is going in the right direction for me, but I need it to drive like a hot rod and not an old lady's Jazzy!  Know what I mean?!? Anyways, I am super excited about tomorrow and will probably be thinking about it all day!  :)

Thanks for stopping in and reading my blog!  It really means a lot to me that you stopped by!  Come back soon! :). For now, I leave you with a simple truth:

Be miserable. Or motivate yourself.  Whatever has to be done.  It's always your choice.
